| Anyone have a springer spaniel? We recently rescued an older springer. She was hanging out at my husband's workplace. She looks like she had been a puppy mill but also that someone spent some time with her. She will fetch a ball all day long. Unfortunately she has heartworms (which the vet is treating conservatively) and she is totally deaf. But she is such a sweet heart. Just wondering if anyone here is familiar with the breed. |

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | I have had two, before my yorkies, they lived to 18 yrs, and 17 yrs. I miss them still, they are the best family dogs ever. My black and while one Missy was my best friend. At the end, she couldnt hear and see, but she didnt care as long as she was with me. Wonderful, wonderful breed! |

| The vet estimates Lucy to be out 9 or 10. Her front teeth are ground down - they think she chewed some wire. And she drools and doens't smell really good but I am crazy about hr |

| I recently met a rescue springer and he was a very sweet old guy. I would have adopted him if he wasn't reserved for another home. Now, I am looking into getting a springer puppy from a reputable breeder. I am meeting her and one of her puppies at dog training tomorrow. She is expecting two litters in September, so I may get a puppy by November/December. If it's in December, do you think I should leave the puppy at the breeder's over the holidays? I don't know what our plans are yet, but last year I boarded my yorkies at a great lady's house. Obviously, if I get the puppy, I won't board the dogs and I'll just have to organize something where they can be with me. I'd appreciate any advice.
