| Introducing a puppy (soon to be large breed) to my 2 yorkies I need some tips on introducing the new puppy to my yorkies! The puppy Keola is still 7 weeks...she is a Siberian Husky/Lab mix...so she will get big. Is there anything I should be concerned about? Does anyone else have yorkies with large breed dogs in the household? I always prefered large dogs since I've been around them majority of my life. but I could never have them because of apartment rules so I have always had small dogs. Well finallly I get to get my large breed dog! Basically my two yorks are ignoring the puppy...Layla (one of my yorks) bit her twice and growled because she got way to close. I didn't interfer though because this is what I was told NOT to do. Layla is pretty much starting to go up to her when she is sleeping so she can analyze her...lol. I need some good tips/advice on introducing them! Also I don't want to hear any non-sense about how big dogs will eat little dogs!! Breed has nothing to do with it. My friend actually has a pit bull mix with a yorkie/toy fox terrior mix and they get along well believe it or not. |
