| Kennel Cough? Hi everyone, I am not sure if I am posting this in the correct spot but I hope someone can help me. I have a 14 year old French Poodle and she has this chronic cough which got worse last night. It used to be a cough here and there but last night it sounded a little more severe and at one point she was hacking for almost 2 hours straight...needless to say, I got no sleep. I took her to the vet in early January and they prescribed some medicine (I have them at home, I can't remember the names of them). They also took films and her chest is crystal clear. The pills "worked" in the sense that while she was on them the cough seemed to get a little better but it never fully went away. I went to pet meds this morning and I found this cough syrup, Nectadyn, and I am debating whether to get it or not. Has anyone ever used this or can someone suggest something I can do to calm it down a bit? |

| I'm sorry to hear about your baby. Sounds like another trip to the vet is in order. A question....how is the air in your house? Have you had the heat running a lot? Is it dry? I'm asking because we have electric heat and running it as much as we have lately really dries the air out here. This makes S'anah cough as well. I've found running a humidifier helps A LOT. Maybe you could try that? Especially at night.
