| They're kinda funky looking! However they are high energy & I do believe that family can hold their own. |

| News just reported that it's Mrs. Obama's choice and she's just one of four who vote on the dog. Agree with marcerella02...not easy to find one of them in a shelter. The Reagans had a large dog that proved to be too big for Mrs. Reagan to handle-maybe too big for the White House too (???) - so it was sent to live on their ranch in CA.

| I just read about that. Very happy that they have at least chosen a breed. Dont think it'll be that hard for them to find one in a shelter... I mean they are the first family and all Might have a bit more resources that the average family... Still sad its not a yorkie though... Maybe one day we'll see a yorkie in the White House One can hope right..lol

| I know..thank goodness! I was going to be so disapointed if they went with a "designer dog" as I don't think that sets a good example and would HATE for the designer dog fad to continue... I also think it is WONDERFUL that they are going to adopt a rescue!!
