| Leopard gecko? Does anyone have one or has experience with them? My husband's friend is moving and wants us to take his gecko, but I really don't know to much about them at all. I have been doing alot of research but would love to hear from people who have had them or who currently have them.

| We've had a few types of geckos (when the kids were younger). Our favorites were two African fat-tailed (very cool and named Jake and Sadie). But I'm pretty sure we had a leopard gecko too. I'll have to go check out a picture. I love the geckos. They are amazing and gorgeous. Ours ate crickets and meal worms (so make sure you're okay with that). I'll have to go look at some pictures to make sure that's one that we had.

| Yep, we did have one that sort of looked like this. I thought they were great pets. Not as snuggly as a Yorkie, but still really cool. They were pretty low maintenance - my younger daughters did a great job taking care of them. The hardest part was getting to the pet store to get crickets!! (Don't feed yard crickets - they could have picked up insecticides).

| I was also reading that there is a premade food that they can also eat too, I am not sure though. I know that our petstore sells worms but are always out of crickets...so if this premade food stuff is available that would be good. My husband really wants this gecko and is trying to convince me about how great they are

Maybe you could just start raising crickets too. I knew a couple that did that too.

| My son had one when he was younger. I agree, the hardest part was getting to the store to get the crickets. It was easy to take care of but doesn't give the kisses that a yorkie does! |
