| Do you have a cat with your Yorkie I am considering getting a kitty to join my home with Hanna who is 1.5 yrs old. She had been around my older cat for about 6 mos before the cat passed away. Is this a good or bad idea? Please share the good and the bad ideas. |

| I have 2 Yorkies, a Lhasa-poo and 3 cats and have no problems. The Yorkies are a bit bossy with one of the cats sometimes but it never amounts to much. Best of luck with your decision.

| I have two Yorkies and 4 cats. The cats were here first. The two female cats keep to themselves, always have. The two male cats are always playing with my two Yorkies. Cats learn to "live up" when the puppies get too much for them to handle.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I have a siamese cat with my Zoey. No problems at all. If you want one then go for it. Your baby had no problem with your previous kitty so I doubt there will be a problem.

| Kiki is the big cat sister and she doesn't care much for Jerome, but she is buddy's with Chikis our Chihuahua. Kiki handles Jerome, but doesn't play with him, in other words she keeps her distance. Jerome came to the house 2 years ago. We've had Chikis and Kiki for about 7 and something years. On the other hand, Negry the other cat which is the latest addition to the family(about a year ago) loves Jerome!! they are buddy's and play together and chase each other. I guess because the are both young they get along very well. The funny thing is that the 2 dogs get along with the cats, but the 2 cats don't get along with each other , yes, Kiki doesn't like Negry and Negry is afraid of Kiki... Is this confusing? I guess I didn't help, did I?

| Yes yes I do! My cat's name is Padfoot (I'm A LITTLE bit obsessed with Harry Potter ) & he gets along with my Chi & my Yorkie great! He's still adjusting to my Yorkie, but he doesn't bother him in any way. My Chi & Padfoot are the best of friends! They sleep together & everything I got Padfoot when he was about two months old & at that time my Chi was three years old. He was a little apprehensive at first with my Chi, but after a few days they became best friends & they now love each other I'm sure my cat will come around to my Yorkie. We've only had my Yorkie two weeks, but I bet sometime soon they will be getting along great! -Amy

| When I first brought Fritzel home he snapped at my one cat Roswell. But Roswell is really nosey and kept getting in his face and I guess he scared Fritzel. Now all the cats like Fritzel and he likes them. They don't play together but Fritzel will bark and chase one once in a while. And they chase him back. But my cats don't all get along though.

| I have one cat with the yorkies now, but at one time I had 3 (the other two live with my ex)...and they have never had a problem. Lily (my cat) doesn't particularly LOVE the dogs...but they don't upset her either. She just ignores them most of the time. The other two cats, Sammie and Callie, actually used to play with the dogs...lol. They would slide across the kitchen floor and then roll over and wrestle with them. They LOVED it...it was so cute. All the cats were first, except Callie. I would probably go with a kitten though, UNLESS you find a cat that is already good with dogs because he/she has been used to being around them. |

| I have a 13 yr old himaylan with my yorkie. The only problem is my yorkie is 11 mos. old and wants to play and the cat doesn't want to, but they tolerate each other. They are to cute to watch. My cat won't run, she will slap at the dog and growl. |
