| Question for Cat owners Hi there, As some of you may know, I currently just have my kitty, toby. Anyway he's obsessed with toliet paper and q-tips...playing with it...eating it. Does anyone know if it's bad for him? He's a year and 1/2 old siamese, that's around 8 lbs. Thank! The q-tips aren't the plastic ones.. they are the cardboard-ish type.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Siamese cats are so funny this way. Ours loved playing with a rolled up candy bar wrapper....would actually fetch (just like a dog) the wrapper when my husband would play with him. With Toby, I would think a little toilet tissue wouldn't hurt too much, but I wouldn't let him have the Q-tips unsupervised. If you are sitting right there and watching him play with the Q-tip it would most likely be okay, as long as you throw them away afterwards. I would worry about him swallowing one.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | cat's are interesting creatures My cats love the plastic on the top of the milk gallons, the strap that you remove...I've purchased all the cat toys, but one thing that helped me when my cats chewed on the wrong things was cat grass. They love it. My plant were always getting chewed up,and I worried if they were poisoness. I buy it at pet smart or pet co. You can actually grow it yourself also. Another thing my cats chew on is straws. They can't ingest it ,but they have fun batting it around Good Luck. |

| Toby has a routine in the morning... play with the tp all morning while i'm getting ready, getting in my face on the counter when i'm brushing my teeth.. trying to find a qtip i've dropped outside the waste basket to play with/eat... I've been trying to be more careful with the q-tips, he hasn't had any problem yet, and when we went to the vet, they didn't notice anything either. So hopefully he'll be fine!

| Yes please be careful about ingesting...cats get intestinal blockages very easily. Lily my cat has had her fair share...she was in the animal hospital for most of her first year of life for various reasons...the first when she was only 12 weeks and swallowed a twist tie that gave her a blockage. She almost died. It's probably ok for him to play...but I would just watch him. What is it about them and toilet paper? |
