| Kidney Stones in a dog? My stepmom called me yesterday and her 2 year old dapple doxie had to have emergency surgery yesterday morning for kidney stones. She is so upset, my dad passed away 2.5 years ago and a few weeks after that my dad's dog. Cookie was given to my stepmom by my brother, and she is so devastated. The surgery was big $$$ and she is on a fixed income. She said the Vet told her Cookie would have to eat only wet food from now on and take some kind of meds. She asked me to find out about canned foods for Cookie. She was feeding her Dry Purina & canned Caesars. I know, not the best but she lives in a small town in Oklahoma and there are not alot of choices there. Can anybody educate me on Kidney Stones in Dogs & prevention? She said if this happens again she will have to put her down because she won't have the money to have surgery for her. Thanks!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I really don't know much about them but I know diet can really help reoccurances. Hopefully someone else will post that has had experience with this. I will keep Cookie in my prayers.

| The stones were sent off to a lab & they will get results back next week. Thanks for all your prayers for Cookie, my stepmom could not handle losing her right now.
