| i don't have one.. i hear they are very lazy dogs... Layla was in obedience with one.. he was very sweet but in GREAT need of obedience.. it took two people to hold his leash. The rescued him or i'm sure he would have been there as a puppy. If anyone is responding to this post and has or has had a great dane can we PLEASE see pictures (i love danes!) |

| We had a Great Dane and we LOVED him so much. He was an awesome dog. Hubby bought him for me 1 1/2yrs before we were married. He was a total goof ball. Big, clumsy and so silly. Unfortanetly he developed aggression towards children and attacked our daughter! But w/that all said, we would get another Great Dane in a heart beat our yard just is not big enough for that size dog!

| We don't have one anymore. I had one growing up & he was good around our other dogs, even our scottish terrier. Our neighbor has one & Logan's a little scared to play with him, but they do play & i don't worry that the great dane would intentionally hurt him. But has someone else said, as young dogs they are very clumsy they have these big feet they can't really control, so if you have a tiny yorkie (my logan is 12.5 so i don't worry about him as much) I would worry that the great dane might accidentally step on them.

| I have always had danes until I got my cocker 6 years ago and then maggie...they are my other favorite breed and YES, super gentle. My experience is that they are extremely gentle, very loving, and they really want to be your lap dog LOL If you get one as a puppy, they should get along GREAT with your little ones. The only thing you really need to watch out for is the tail Here is a pic of my Jackson at 7 years old and 214 lbs Bizzymamabee...yep...that was me

| I want a great dane SOOOOO much! They are *ALMOST* tied with yorkies as my favorite dogs! I can't wait to have my own house...even though my mom swears that I will be one of those crazy ladies with 100000 dogs that are ALL treated better than most people

| I Love Great Danes And You Have The One I Love The Most. The Harlequin Ones Are Beautiful. I Would Want One With Stand Up Ears. I Do Not Want A Big Dog Unless It Is A Great Dane, But Unfortunatley I Live In A 600 Sq Ft One Bedroom Condo With 4 Cats And Sammy - My Little Yorkie Boy ! I Just Do Not Think I Can Fit One In , Lol |
