Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Shih tzu biting help I have a 3 year old Shih tzu that ever since I got him neutered he started to bite. Most of the time I confine him to the kitchen. Today he jumped on one of the other dogs my daughter jumps in and he bites her. He has tried to bite me a few times. I was thinking about trying one of those spray collars on him. That you push a button and it sprays water in his face but I am afraid of making it worse. Is he hopeless? I hate to give him away but I won't have him biting the kids and me.

| Our Shih tzu bites too, more like nips at us, but last night I was breaking up a fight and she did bite me (I got a ugly mark) I was hoping spaying her would help, now I'm not so sure. Why Abby is this way I would love to know, my dad has a shih tzu and is not like this. I honestly think Abby needs classes.

| Hmm, I have a 4 y/o Shih Tzu. She'll only bite if I threaten her treats she's eating. My Yorkiechon fights with her in play fight. The Shih Tzu is not a big biter. Plus her teeth are dull so it does not hurt. They are generally mellow dogs and don't like much drama or picking. I love my Shih Tzu dearly. She is the gentle soul in my house. |
