Donating YT 30K Club Member | Maya my Pom just had a seizure MY my 10 year old pom had a grand mal seizure. I was so scared, I thought she was dieing. She actually stopped breathing for a 10 seconds. I just got back from the er vet and she is stable but I have to take her back tomorrow to see the specialist who has been treating her for her cushings and liver failure to see where we go from here, I didn't want to leave her overnight. They think maybe she has a pituatary tumor from the cushings. I feel so bad for her, I don't want her to suffer but she seems better now. Please keep her in your prayers. Thanks

| I'm sorry Hoping her appointment goes well tomorrow and no more seizures. I can't imagine how scary it must be to see your baby having a seizure

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Thanks, she finally stopped panting around 4 am and slept for a few hours, but will not eat any treats and is now restless and panting again. I have never seen a dog have a seizure before and my dtr and I were screaming we didn't know what was happening. We thought she was dying and then all of a sudded she started moving her back legs starngely. My heart goes out to anyone who's babies have these.

| OH Patti I am so sorry you have had to go through this with your Maya. I know how hard it is to watch as Murphy has Peti-Mal Seizures frequently and those are hard enough to watch. He has been on Phenobarbital which is a medicine prescribed for seizures. It is heart wrenching to watch, my only advice is try to hold her close while she is having one or cuddle up around her where she is at the time and just talk softly to her and try to calm her down with a soothing tone. That’s what I do with Murphy and I think it makes him feel a little better. He gets so scared when he is having one so that’s all I know to do while I let it pass. It sounds like you are working with your vet but did they say anything about treating her with this medicine for the seizure or are they thinking it was a one time thing? I am praying for you girl and hope Miss Maya gets better. Murphy knows how she feels and sends his love to her.

| Oh no, Patti! I feel so bad for you and for little Maya. I know she's has had so many other health problems, but this seizure had to be the worst to witness. I hope and pray that that was a one and only. I will say a prayer and be thinking of you today. Sending lots of hugs!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Thanks They feel the seizure was either from a tumor putting pressue on the brain or she threw a clot which can happen with Cushings disease. I know her time left with me is short but I am not ready to give up yet. I feel her eyes and actions will let me know when she has had enough.

| Sometimes their little bodies just can't go thru anymore. My little 2 pound Chihuahua, Delsi started having strokes after a downhill battle and we put her down in September. She would have been 16 Dec. 11th. I know what your going thru and I will send prayers. Warm hugs. |
