| Question about a Non-Yorkie Stray Dog My cousin called me a couple of minutes ago and told me that he found a Pomeranian near a bus stop. She kept following him, so he took her home. He told me that her private area was secreting black liquid... Does anyone know what this could be? Could she possibly be in heat? My older dog was spayed at 6 months, and has never experienced a heat cycle, so I don't know if this could be it or not. I told him to call the vet, but the vets around my area are closed on Sundays |

| Hmmm, I wouldn't think that heat would look black. I would definately call an emergency vet as it could be an ifection. Does it look like she might have had babies any time recently?

| I have no clue...He just told me that she was secreting black liquid. He lives within 5 minutes driving distance from me, so I'm going to call and ask if I can go over. |

| Yes, do call a vet - it could be a possible urinary tract infection or something else. Also, mention to the vet she was found so that they can scan her for a micro-chip & possibly find her owners.

| If its out the poopy end, it could possibly be anal sac fluid. I would adivse calling the vet first thing in the morning to get him checked out overall. |

| Okay, I just got back from his house... I didn't see any black fluid coming from her like he said there was. She was very chubby (I think she may be pregnant?), but it could be all of her fur. Her nipples were large/swollen ~ would that indicate anything? |

YT 1000 Club Member | she may be having a miscarriage if she is pregnant... I agree with everyone. That you should take her to the vet. I hope everything turns out great at the end. GOOD LUCK!!!! |

| Swollen nipples could be a sign that she is pregnant. She could have been dumped because someone didn't want to deal with babies...

| Goodness. That baby needs a vet. ASAP. She needs X-Ray to see if she's pg. and if so, how large those babies are. I sure hope she didn't get pg by a large dog. Someone PLEASE help that little girl! |

| Please take her in if he doesn't. Your good deed might just save the little dog's life.
