Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hair question My birth son who has been reunited with us showed my dtr (his sister) and me a pic of him awhile back when he had his hair sort of short and spiked with blondish tips. We said we liked it and now he wants to do that again. My questions are He is 36 is this too old for that look? Is that look even in anymore? I am afraid he just want to do it because we said we liked it and I don't want him to look silly if it's not a good look anymore. Thanks

| I think that hes old enough to not do something like that bc someone else liked it... Im sure hes doing it because he liked it! I woudn't worry... hair is versatile, if he gets comments or told by someone that hes too old for it, then the next day he'll have it dyed back to normal color and Im sure combed down and not spiky til it grows out. I wouldn't worry about that... its HIM who has to look in the mirror. Im constantly telling my mom she needs to emotionally seperate herself from my brother. My brother is almost 30 and going on 13. Hes very needy and tells her she is his mom, like at 30 he needs a mommy???? Anyways, bc of his neediness he kind of forces her to take on his problems, hes always running to her when he has problems. Its sad really! She moved from new hampshire to New mexico and it took him less than a year to follow her. Anyways, I guess you don't want to see your son make a mistake or whatnot, but on the other hand, some lessens (esp this small) are meant for him to learn first hand and you not to even worry about

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Thanks for your input. This is a litle different situation. I gave him up for adoption at birth and just reunited with him in May. So there is a definate trying to please on both sides going on as we find our way through this emotional journey.

| I think he must feel good in it or he wouldn't be doing it. I wear mine spiked and I'm 53. It just fits my face.

| It really depends. It may end up looking like he is trying to hard to recapture his youth, or it may work if it fits into his lifestyle. |

| I know plenty of guys his age that have that style. let him go for it....like the other member said....if he doesn't like it or catches grief for it, he can easily do something different. guys are lucky in that way LOL btw...your story makes me cry. I am so happy you were able to be reunited!!! that is just wonderful. I have twins that I gave up for adoption when I was very young...I do hope to be able to reunite one day. I hope that with every fiber within me. stories like yours keep the hope alive. thank you!!!
