| Has anyone ever had iritis? Okay so I've been having all of these problems with my right eye since February (when I ate that tainted Peter Pan peanut butter). Well anyway my eye was finally getting better about 3 weeks ago and I was scheduled to go back to the eye doctor and be put back into contacts. Well 2 days before my appointment I woke up with a completely red eye, which was throbbing and very sensitive to not only sunlight but artificial light as well. I had to get an eye patch and wear around just to be somewhat comfortable. Anyway long story short...the eye doctor diagnosed me with Iritis, which is an immune something disease. He told me it's like having arthritis of the eye. Well it's been 3 weeks now and it's still not better and I've been going to the eye doctor once or twice a week now. Well tomorrow I'm supposed to go and see a specialist who deals with this type of eye condition and hopefully will be able to find out the cause. Apparently there is about 90 different diseases which could be causing this. But my eye doctor said it's strange to see it in me because i'm only 22 and they usually see it in people in their 50s. So my question is, does anyone know anyone who has ever had this? I'm really worried that I might have something seriously wrong with me. He said it was diseases such as Rheumatoid arthritis (sp?) or IBS...but I have no symptoms of those... Wow sorry for the long post just wondering if anyone had heard of such a crazy thing...or if anyone else ate that tainted peanut butter and experienced any eye issues. Thanks!
