| Secret Shoppers? I keep getting e-mails about becoming a secret shopper. They claim you can go out to dinner and get paid instead of paying for your meal and similar things. I keep thinking it's some kind of scam. Has anyone ever done it? |

| I am a "Mystery Shopper". I get to go to fast food places, restraunts, etc and eat. I then go to the car and fill out my evaluations. It is pretty cool. They pay you a certain amount to evaluate the place, food, and service. And they compensate for my meals. Alot of the time they even pay for hubby's meal. I submit my evaluations and "invoice" my receipt for the meal. Get paid on the 28th of each month direct deposit into our bank account. I do this since I am a stay at home wife/nana.

| Can I be nosy and ask how much they pay? For instance, is it hourly or a specific rate depending on the job? |

| I get paid per job as they call them. The pay depends on the Company-Restraunt, etc. Pay usually runs 10-15$ per visit plus they reimburse you for your meal. There is a $ amount that you are allowed to spend at that particular place. Sometimes if no one has chosen that particular job, they will offer an extra incentive..$$$ That is nice too....

| i think most are for false advertising.. there was an article about this.. u have to sign up for so many offers, u get lots of spam, and a few are scams.. so be careful i think the ppl who do get paid for secret shopping did not do it thru the advertising over the web.. |

| I did not find this thru an advertisement. there was a segment on The Today show. They had put the info on their website if you wanted more info. I have been doing this over a year now. There are no upfront fees or anything like that. I will not pay to work for someone... https://www.experienceexchange.com

| Most of the online ones are scams. I do have a friend who's wife has done this in the past. She's a teacher (which is the type of person they look for) and they go to restaurants and follow a guideline for ordering and what the server has to do or say and notes it and reports it back to the restaurant. She receives a minimal fee and gets a nice free meal out of it. |
