Default Chrone's Disease

Does anyone have or know of someone that has this? Maybe im just being paranoid here...but I've been doing research about the stomach problems I have been having lately. And my dr just told me I have a stomach bacteria and prescribed medication that is similar to what is given to people with this disease...Any comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you...

I have a girlfriend with it. I don't know much about it but I know she's
suppose to watch what she eat's and is on medication.
We went to Italy together last year and she was always concerned
about getting an attack and not being close to a ladies room.
But she was ok.

I just called her but sorry she's not home.
I know the medication does help her but I don't know what it is.
I do know she has to stay away from spicy, gassy foods because
that will trigger an attack.

Your welcome. I hope the medication works for you.
If you want more info I can call her next week. The long weekend
is upon us and chances are I won't be on the computer.
Just pm me next week and I will get you more info if you want.

She does not have a computer so I can't send you her address.
Hope you feel better. Don't worry to much people live with this
their whole lives. Take care.

Are you talking h.pylori - or which bacteria? Which symptoms matched - the ones for crohns? Crohns can be managed w/ diet, and occ. meds. But try not to fret terribly bc it is treatable, and common - so there are alot of educated docs out there.

Sadly I dont remember the name of the bacteria- but i looked up the medicatiosn the doc put me on - and they are the same ones that are used to treat crones - meanwhile the dr never mentioned it to me - a freid of mines mother had it - and when i told him he told me about the diesase and i went on line and researched it - the symptoms i have match the crohns disease.....

One of them, I'm not sure....but the one girl was diagnosed her Freshman year of HS, and she's now a Junior. She was in the hospital for a while when she was diagnosed. Maybe a little over a marking period. I actually visited her in the hospital, and I snuck Baby in to visit her. (I asked the nurse first via phone, and she said normally no, but she'd look the other way. ) They put her on steroids and such. She also went back last year to the hospital for a little while, but she's back in school. Poor thing.

The little girl's brother that my mom used to babysit had it....I certainly hope you don't Maybe reading the symptoms of it just got you scared? I know that I too can get that way when I read something - even if I have ONE of the symptoms, I think I have it - lol.

I will say a little prayer for you and please keep us updated!

my aunt has it as well as one of my friends. They take medication (not sure what) and they have to watch what they eat. I know my aunt can't have a lot of lettuce and veggie stuff.
