| Anyone following Parkersburg, WV school bomb threats? Two area high schools have received bomb threats this past week. My neice attends Parkersburg High School, which has received six threats. My son, who is a sophmore attends Parkersburg South High School, which received two threats. They have arrested two juveniles in relation to three of the threats, but the other five are unsolved so far. My son and neice are afraid to go to school. My son never misses unless he is very sick, and that is rare. He did not want to go to school today and does not want to go tomorrow either. There were no threats at either school today, but security is still tight. Some of the kids have received random text messages stating "You think Virginia Tech was bad, wait til Friday" (hearsay from my son's friend who supposedly received one. My question is would you make your child go to school? He says he will go back Monday. He is just very scared.

| It's sad when things like this happen. Often they are just threats and nothing but I mean you never know. There are a lot of sick people out there. When our school had threats I would worry till I almost vomited sometimes. My mom felt that if I went to school I wouldn't be very productive cause I would just worry. So sometimes she had me stay home. I would do the same for my son when he is in school. I would never make him go somewhere he isn't comfortable.
