| No experience, but I'll say prayers for you. Do you need to get surgery?

| My mother and mil have had catarac surgery and both have done wonderfully. They really didn't have pain and had to use eyedrops for awhile but the surgery was very successful. Good luck and I will remember you on my prayer list. |

| I used to be an opthahalmic tech...here's what I can tell you. It's not any worse than any other type of cataracts. All those fancy names basically only describe how advanced it is and where in the inter occular lens it is located. Even though it may be more progressed, it's not more difficult to correct. The surgical procedure to correct it would be the same regardless. If you have a mild, juvenile cataract, they'd take out the lens and put in a new one. If you had it so bad you were practically blind, they'd take out the lens and put in a new one. The surgery is no biggie. (Although I know that's easy to say to someone else.) One of the more minor procedures performed on the eye and it is really quick to heal. You just have to put drops in your eyes everyday for a while, but that's it. | My girl friend is 49 and just had cataracts removed from both eyes. She did great, had an easy recovery. Early this year, I was diagnosed with an early cataract in my left eye. It is far from ready for surgery, but bad enough that it is impairing my vision beyond correction. Interesting, after a few months I no longer noticed the blurring. I think my brain is learning to look out of the other eye! You are in good company!

| Actually, I was reading about what you are describing, the vision improving. It said it's because the cataract moved. Quote:

| Hmmm, I read that it is the worse of the 3 or 4 others ones because of where in the eye it is located,it cn change your vision in a instant. Quote:
