| Wirelless keyboard/mouse question How long does the batteries last.I had to buy my husband a new keyboard for his desktop and I couldn't find a decent regular keyboard ,so I bought a wireless. He said the batteries have to be changed all the time. |

| Of course, it depends on how much you use them, and whether or not you turn off the keyboard/mouse when you are not using them. It is true, the batteries have to be changed fairly frequently - maybe once per month - when you turn them off when not using.

| My husband and son say that even with heavy use they should last a week at least. Their keyboards last months. If it has to have the batteries changed often, rechargeable might be the way to go.

| Mine has a cord, and I usually have to do my mouse every couple of days. The guy I bought the mouse from says that they charge automatically w.o. a cord, but they don't |

| We have a couple of sets at work and to be honest I think they only get changed every other month or so. I've found that they just die more then we change the batteries. We end up just replacing them.

| I need to charge my mouse about once a month, same goes with changing the rechargable batteries for the keyboard. I like wireless, don't have to worry about messing with a cord if you decide to shift your desk around. |

| depends on what you use it for. my husband is a huge "gamer." he goes thru batteries like nobody's business. i'd go with rechargeable. it eventually pays for itself. when he's gaming hard core, it's probably once every 2wks for the mouse. the keyboard lasts longer. t |
