| I have always had oily skin too - you will appreciate it as you get older. Finally, at age 55, my skin is normal and no longer oily. I don't have nearly as many wrinkles as others my age. I remember a product that you put on your face and it controlled the oil, but unfortunately, I don't remember the name. It may have been in the Clinique line. As for makeup, I would recommend a powder foundation. I use Bare Essentials and I absolutely love it. I've used it for many years.

| I am in the same boat. The closer I get to menopause, the oilier I get. I have yet to find a foundation that holds up all day. My latest thing is I use Lancomb Tint Vidal. I top that with a mineral foundation powder (very light) then finish with either Lancombe or Revlon Colorstay powder. I start blotting and applying more powder about 5-6 hours later, and this gets me through my 10 hour work day. I recently read that Vit. B5 will help slow oil production. I have some on order. You have to take mega doses of it for 2-3 months, then you can back off to a maintenance dose. Good luck!

| Another name for Vit. B-5 is d-Calcium pantothenate.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | A very good product is the Clean & Clear Oil Face Blotting Sheets, they take off excess oil and they are small to carry around all day in your purse. They turn clear when you have oil.

Really, can't say enough about the stuff. And yes, years ago my mom told us we'd be thankful for our oily skin----I'm 46, and she was right. I'll take pimples as a teen over wrinkles now any day. | |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Have you tried these products: http://www.cosmeticscop.com/shop/shoptype.asp?ID=339 She ROCKS. Read the reviews from "oily skinned" customers too. I linked you directly to her "oily skin" regimens.
