| Does anyone know how to get rid of "wind"? A weird topic - but I really need to know : "wind" is what my mother calls it.....I guess its also called gas? Its a terrible feeling you get in your stomach - kind of like cramps....Sometimes it can be followed with alot of "burping or belching". I get it all the time and it's a terrible feeling....I was told that drinking something hot would help - but I dunno.....Anyone have any ideas? Thanks ( I know I know, it's a gross topic - but you guys seem to know about everything else - so I figured why not this?) |

| You can try some Gas-X, you get it over the counter. You need to try to figure out which foods are causing it. If it is dried beans/legumes and some kinds of vegies, take some Beano with the first bite.

| I got this alot as a teenager because i never drank anything hot in the morning. The only thing that helps me is drinking garlic tea. Its amazing. I just got these pains last week, so bad i couldn't move. I try to drink something hot every morning but i absolutely hate tea, coffee, basically anything with out ice BTW where is your mom from. I am from Trinidad and we call it "wind pains" also

| I always lay down on my side and let it "blow," if you call it "wind." More room on the outside than on the inside, my Grandpa used to say

| Just a thought - some gall bladder attacks start like that. Gas is a biggie when the g.b. acts up. AND it can be mistaken for a heart attack. Do you have a pain in the back of your right shoulder? That's another sign. Fair skinned, red-headed girls are the most likely candidates, but certainly not the only ones to suffer from them. Hope it's nothing like that, but it might be worth checking into. Hope you feel better soon.
