| gee, I hate ants too! We don't have that problem, but my g'mas house always had ants. We could never leave candy or food ANYWHERE or the ants would have it. I don't know how to get rid of them. I think they always just sprayed. |

| The one with wings are adult carpenter ants, and I think your dad needs to get a special spray before they eat your house.

| Go to Wal-Mart in the bug spray section. They have this stuff called Terro.. or Torro... something like that. I'm not sure where mine is right now. Anyway, it's a clear syrup. You put a little on some squares of cardboard and it's sweet, so they are drawn to it. Then they take it back to their nests and kill them all. It really works!!

| They probably will not eat the entire house tonight, it should still be there when the folks get home. Just make sure that Layla cannot get into anything that you put down to kill the ants. This is just one more example of "Why I Need to Move from My Lake to the one on the other side of Michigan". You and Layla could stay with us.

AND Coby just found a trap in our house that was missed in puppy-proofing and chomped on it a couple of times. Their website states that it is not harmful to pets and people. Good Luck!

| Oh, I had that problem when I lived in San Diego, I think we sprinkled ajax around the windows and the doors, they didn't like it and eventually dissapeared. I wish I could remember if it was Ajax for sure or if it was something else...sorry, maybe try a google search for home remedies to get rid of ants?

| Our rental house in town had ants last summer. We bought this stuff at Wal Mart that you spread around the foundation of the house. It really worked, the ants were gone in 2 days. They haven't had any trouble with ants this year. thankfully.

| The only thing that worked for me was the bait they take back to the nest. I think it was called Grants-"grants kills ants" from wal mart. You can use a sticky adhesive on the back to put them on the wall so your baby cant get to them. Good luck-ants suck!
