Cry I need to VENT! My day is going soo bad.

Hubbys birthday is this sunday.. and he had been wanting this part for his new race car so I went ahead and bought it as a surprise.. well it turns out he wansnt sure if he wanted that one or another one so I ordered it, even paid 2 day air and it arrives monday but he doesnt seem happy, he says I made the decision for him.. and he says he is ok with it but he is acting like he is not.. now he doesnt want to do anything today and is all gloomy on the couch watching tv... I feel so bad I just cried.. I thought I was doing something nice for him ,since I knew he wanted it, but it appears my good deed went south...

SO I told him I can call the company and see if they will exchange it without charging me additional shipping but he says , no its ok Ill just stay with what you ordered.. but I sense its not what he wants... what do I do....!!! Do you think if I return it without signing for it ... they might let me exchange it without charging me more shipping? I know they have a return or exchange policy.....AHHH MEN!

Sounds like someone forgot to appreciate the sentiment behind his gift. Buying race car (I actually know) stuff isn't easy, and any man should appreciate our interest. He'll get over the disappointment, and it sounds like you want him to actually get what he wants, so let him exchange it if he wants to. You did a good thing.

Men are babies!! LOL...if they have already shipped it you will probably have to pay the shipping for it to be mailed back and then the shipping for the other part...better off to stay with that one..unless they havent shipped it yet...but he will probably wish he had the original one you ordered anyhow LMBO!!

Some men are just unbelieveable!! Im sooo glad I found a good one!! If I was in your situation I would send it back without signing for it and get my money back and tell him he can buy whatever he wants to with his own money. But it really all depends on your husband. It would make mine appreciate a gift next time, but some others it could really pi@@ off.
How you handle this is really whatever you feel more comfortable doing.

I just told my husband your story...here's what he says...and I quote

"He's just being a @#$%! Hand him the part and the receipt and say, "Happy Birthday". Then, walk away. If he was having trouble deciding, he should be happy either way."

(That was from my hubby to you for what it's worth.)

My answer to you? Send it back and spend the money on a new kitchen appliance...put a bow on it and say Happy Birthday. You're much nicer than I would be.

My fave commercial is where the man opens the door and the delivery man is there with the new appliances and there is the woman on the couch-- "honey if i can buy these golf clubs you can have anything you want"

Im sorry you day sucks tho-- it sucks when you think you are doing something nice and it goes unnoticed.

i know exactly how you feel! My stepdad wanted this Cubs jersey and he explained it and said it was on ebay(my mom also seen him look at this particular one) but left out a little bit of details. So my mom was so sure she found it and me, my sis , and my mom went in on the jersey and we were waiting for it to get here to surprise him. Well we were in the garage and i said what do you want for your bday. He said I want this cubs jersey but i want the good one, not the one with the cheesy pinstripes. My mom ran out of the room crying and we had to explain why. She was so excided about giving him this because he wanted it soo bad and she thought it would be this huge surprise.

even tho he wears it, we know its not what he wanted. We also payed a couple hundred

My ex was like that, said I always bought him gifts he didn't want. Always hurt my feelings. I'm sorry, I know how disappointed you feel when you go so out of your way and think you've found the perfect gift and they are like ehhh. big hug
