| Write it in your handwriting, over and over and over and over. Learn how to pronounce it CORRECTLY. Then, read it out loud to yourself as many times as you wrote it. Literally like 50 billion times lol Seriously, though, until you feel like your head is going to explode. If you need help with A&P or terminology PM me. I did really well in A&P and I'd say I know my terminology well.

| I've taken them too. Index cards and someone to test you. My husband used to drill me during everything we did... we'd take a walk and he'd use my cards to go over the words again, etc. My husband learned quite a bit too |

| I always made up pictures in my head, for example gastro (stomach) - think of a gas truck - gas is fuel like food is for you stomach. Hope it helps.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Index cards are your friend. I have a BSN/RN and used index cards for everything.

| In law school I had to do a lot of memorizing of doctrines, terminology, rules, etc...What I found helped me the best is rewriting the information myself on index cards and then reading them over and over, then moving on to being quizzed by a study budy!

In my area we have such a shortage of nurses but it is very competitve to get accepted and since I cant take off from working for 2 yrs for my adn (rn) i am going to get my LVN, then apply to the RN (adn) program and then apply to the BSN program , it just seems like so much work, unlike other bachelors.. You don't have to get a Bachelor's degree to be a staff nurse. You just need that for office jobs & higher positions. I'm in a 4-year university program that will give me a BSN at the end, straight out of high school...I didn't have to do anything extra. It's a Bachelor's of Science majoring in Nursing. I will be an RN w/ a degree rather than diploma.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You don't have to get an assoc. first at all - did someone tell you that? I got my bachelors degree (BSN - bach. in the science of nursing) at Univ. of Colorado Health Sciences Center. You "become" an RN once you pass boards, as with all nurses.

| Another help is to puch holes in the corners of the index cards and put them on a hinged ring so you can carry them around with you to study when you get spare moments while waiting in lines, etc.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I worked in health claims for 33 years and learned all my medical terminology on the job, but for new trainees we used the Dean Vaughn med term tapes and it was a fun way to learn. also try getting a Tabers medical dictionary.
