Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Grooming Lulu is not for the faint of heart... Jesus I am suprised the one time that I did take her to the professional groomer that he didn't charge me a million dollars. Lulu is almost ten months and is a pip to groom. I bathe her every week since I have had her at 8 weeks old. Jesus you would think she would be used to the damn thing already. The first and only time I took her to a groomer she came back lopsided and a bit scared. So I decided to do it myself. I have been slowly getting her into it..I try to touch her up every week or so when I bathe her. Tonight I decided to sicissor her feet and clean up the pads under. I have a palm clipper that is specifically for that and a pencil thin one as well that gets in between the pads. Jesus the way she was acting you would think I was trying to pull off her legs. Man talk about work. She better get used to this thing. I am contemplating buying a small grooming table so I can spin her behind around and cut a bit faster. Ack...I need a bath and a couple advils from that process. Thanks for letting me vent...aaah Calgon take me away.

| I totally understand! I bathe Jake every week too, and he doesn't really mind his bath anymore. But, my hubby and I decided to give him his first haircut ourselves........oh boy, talk about hard! It took both of us because I had to hold him while my hubby cut his hair. We had to give him water and treat breaks, and I thought we'd never finish! He just didn't want to hold still, he wanted to play. But, after awhile he got tired and cooperated. So, next time we're going to wait until he's already tired lol

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | She still minds her freaking baths. I mean come now she has been bathing every week forever and a day now. I have to bathe her with one hand and hold her with the other. Major PIA. I wanted to slap her a few times. She probably gained two pounds with all the treats I was bribing her with. Hopefully she learns that it's a no go and it's my way and not her way.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Lulu isn't even three pounds and I do my best to be careful not to break something on her. It's funny how she pulls her foot away from me. Half the time I had to get my daughter to hold her so I could do things.
