| My mother has two toy poodles named Indie and Casper. She is as crazy over poodles as I am over yorkies. What I have learned about TPs - 1.) They are SMART. Never ever ever understimate how smart they are. 2.) They are sneaky. 3.) They are delightfully entertaining. 4.) They don't shed any more than a human does. 5.) You have to stay on top of their grooming. Their hair is kinky curly and I think it mats quicker and easier than most yorkies. 6.) They are loyal and affectionate and just all around good natured. 7.) They CAN be a little possessive of their owner regardless of how well trained they are. Mom has one who is and one who isn't. 8.) Don't think you can get or avoid prissiness based on gender. Casper is male and is as prissy as they come. Indie is female and it very NOT prissy. Hope that helps some.

| Do you know any reputable breeder? I am not thinking about getting an another dog any time soon, but i want to start doing research. I have seen a famous handler for poodle.... Kaz... he shows a lot of poodles of Japanese owner... but I don't know if she lives here or in Japan..

| I don't, sorry. Mom's poodles are 10 and 12 years old. Their breeder retired not long after mom got Casper.

| My poodles all the things mentioned above, and just a pleasure to have. I rescued her from the ASPCA, and I couldn't be happier with her. The funny part was she was so hairy we didn't know what she was until her first haircut.

I had a male red toy poodle, Daxton, that lived to be 15 years old. He was my "first-born".... before kids and husband. He was the best dog ever! 'Graleyne' described the poodle breed, as I know it to be, perfectly. Dax was a "not prissy" though...... and oh so laid back! I think your typical poodle is sometimes "yippy" but Dax wasn't. Just like Tatum (our Yorkie) isn't but some Yorkies are. Yorkie or poodle.... you can't go wrong in my eyes!

| Haruka is 1.5 yr old. and already freaking out of her life expectancy.. so... it sounds good about poodle's long living life expectancy..

| I have a yorkie poo.. but I can say he learns tricks faster than all of my other dogs and he's super sweet. He picked up potty training super quick and is a sweetie. He is also a pain in the butt and very stubborn but I love him dearly |

| I have a Martin Poodle. He is the sweetest thing and loves everyone with the exception of feeble old ladies.... Feeble Old Ladies turn him into Cujo. He is not a one person dog. He loves anyone that wants to give him a treat or that he can snuggle up to. We keep him shaved since its so HOT here and we chop his ears. He is very smart ... we taught Sam "Bang Bang" and he falls over dead. Well Martin never was taught but he watched Sam do his tricks ... and NOW when you say "Bang Bang" and do the hand motions.... MARTIN will fall over dead!!!! He is the best car dog ever. Never gets sick and just lays down -- doesnt utter a peep. I love my Poodle. And I love my Chi/Pom and my Yorkie too!!!
