Donating YT 500 Club Member | The Loyalty of our Furry Companions Spent part of the afternoon today at the St. Louis Art Museum. Got to see the Napoleon exhibit. It was VERY cool. Lots of great pieces. While we were waiting our turn, we meandered through a few of the surrounding galleries. There I saw the portrait below, Attachment, by William Landseer from 1829. It features a terrier keeping watch -- for three months -- over his master who was killed in a climbing accident. My mom says, "You realize that's you and the Moose (aka Ozzie)." "Yes," says me. "Ozzie would stay for a while. But then he'd have to leave and find FOOD." Seriously, thought this portrait was really moving and had to share! |

| Thankyou for sharing, I remember seen a portrait of Adan and Eve leaving the garden and the only animal that follow them was a dog, of course is not biblical but sure was sweet, just to think about it |

| Wow, what a beautiful portrait. Our little furry friends are definitely loyal companions. When I was sick and had surgery, Jake stayed with me or played right where I was ALL the time.
