| one of my "death" fears almost came true... well I have not been on much ... my nieces have been here a lot.... their grandpa passed away from stomach cancer last week so its been pretty stressful. I have three death fears - drowning, being stabbed, and burned in a fire..... Well on Tuesday me and my car got swept into some flood waters on the highway. I was gone before I knew it. I was in complete panic especially after the water covered my ankles and I couldnt open my doors or roll down the windows. When I looked out the window... the water was up to the middle of the outside of my car door then it really sat in. When the paramedics got me out of the car it had moved up to the bottom of my seats. I was in sheer panic - and in my panic, did I call 911? No, I called my mother and put her into sheer panic. Luckily there is was another car that got swept in and they had called 911. Ok maybe not "luckily" but you know what i mean.... I am ok - just super sore and super stressed. My friend's husband came over and took the water out of my car so it wouldnt stink that bad. He took out so much water and this was even after the tow trunk driver drained it some when he lowered it. Ive attached a couple pics. The pic of my car is after the water went down. The water came in and flooded my trunk bc everything in it was soaked and my backseat is soaked. My car STINKS horribly bad. I just paid my car off as well so that stinks. I love my Mazda. I hate being without a car. thats my freedom! I think I have ate anything that isnt nailed down which stresses me out bc its not like I need to eat anything. It just sucks.

| OMG...I'm so glad you're okay. I can't even imagine anything like that happening. I'd probably call my Mom instead of 911 also...no matter how old we are we still want our Mommies to save us. I'm sorry about your car. Try to be glad that it was only your car and you got out safely. That really stinks (literally & figuratively) that you just paid off your car. Bummer!

| How horrible! That's like a nightmare come true. I can only imagine how terrified you were! I am so glad you are okay. Cars can be replaced, but people can't. Maybe insurance will cover most of the cost of a new one.

| I'm so glad you got out OK and are safe now. But goodness what an awful scare. Your poor car. I'd be upset about the loss of that freedom too. And stinky? Well gross, how can you get rid of that? Maybe the insurance guy will have some ideas. Glad you're safe. And sorry to hear about the sadness in your family. Best wishes and sympathy to you and to your nieces. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Oh my God! I'm SO sorry you had to go through that. We're so thankful you're safe! My biggest fear in the entire world is that I'll drown in a car. I remember a long time ago I was watching a program on TV about car safety, and one of the things they said is if your car is ever underwater, wait until the car if completley full of water, then open your door. Because if the pressure is different on the outside than the inside, it won't open.

| Thanks everyone - the insurance guy never did come look at the car but told me over the phone he would more than likely just total it. So who knows.... I tell it when it rains it pours-- just so much crap going on and drama.... I just keep telling myself .. what doesnt kill you makes you stronger and try to keep in mind that someone else is having worse than me and I should be thankful. One of the ladies at work has ordered me the lil thing that goes on the side of your door that cuts your seatbelt, flashlight, and pops the glass of your window.... I pray that I never have to use it!!!! She said she ordered it but shes afraid that I would just pass out before I got to use it
