| Got my first tattoo! Ok, so Im 6 months late but as a 30th bday present to myself I got a tattoo! What do you think? I waited so long bc I anticipated it being the most painful thing in the world... it was not that bad though! But I had NO idea it took a FULL 2 weeks before it finished healing! I love it though! Im a scorpio and Im on the cusp, so I read about scorpios and I am sooooooooooooo a Scorpio! Its scarey to read a book and have it describe you so well! SO I finally got my scorpion!!! I love it! Its sooo bright! and it has green eyes cuz I have green eyes!

| Im already planning my 2nd one! HAHAHA You are sooo right, they do become addicting! Im surprised at how anti-climatic the pain level actually really was! it was not bad at all!!! I swear! I got it on my upper leg though, so maybe all the 'meat' there helped! I put this off for YEARS because I was afraid of the pain! It was NOTHING! Whats really funny though, the guy who did it, was surprised that it was my first one and I got a scorpion! He says most girls get something 'girly' and 'pretty' like hearts, stars, roses, butterflies for their first! I told him that I dont know if it will be my only one so I might as well get what I want!

| I will be 50 before too long, and have been trying to get up the nerve. Does it hurt as much as piercing ears (the high cartiladge piercing)? I have 10 piercings in each ear, so I'm not really afraid of pain. I was thinking of getting a tiny yorkie tatoo behind one of my ears

| well my tattoo guy said that his facial ones hurt! But where I got mine (upper leg/thigh in front) did not hurt bad at all!! Go for it! I dont have an upper ear piercing, but I remember my regular piercings were not all that fun either! I think the tattoo hurt less than the piercings, but it lasts longer. It does kind of feel like a burning sensation. But you get used to it and are able to anticipate it and block it out kind of!

| Oh thats ok! Its funny cuz I show people when I can like when Im wearing sweatshorts cuz its so high up my leg that I cant show it off very often! Well my mom was telling me the other day that I should tell people Im a scorpio before I show them my tattoo. I was laughing bc the FIRST question I get is "Are you a scorpio?" every time I show it! So why bother telling them first?? She cracks me up!

it will burn for a week maybe a little less maybe a little more a tattoo is equivalent to a seond degree burn according to our blood borne pathogen teacher. but keep it clean and keep it lightly wet with what your artist recommended we recommend a&d ointment but some prefer neosporin and you can also if you want to pay you can ge like tattoo goo or sea salt etc like little brands that say they help heal faster, i used a&d never a prob dont use vasoline, or petro jelly, it doesn not allow your tat to beathe and you will get a nice filmy like pussy substance on the top of your tat and it will not heal properly, we recommend cleaning it with mild soap and then patting dry and then using a light layer of a&d or neosporin, and then letting as much air as possible get to it to help dry it and heal, and do not pick or scrathc when yout top layer peels and beins to heal, you will pick off the ink and heal scarred, if it itches pat it and leave it alone, dont scratch, any questions just pm me or alot of us on here have tatts i just have to see them get done everyday sdo im used to the whole apeech and after care instructions
