| Anyone looking to adopt a Yorkie in Philly? Someone posted an ad on Craigslist looking to SELL their yorkie. I responded, just curious as to why she is getting rid of it. She said she got it the week before Christmas and it was 9 weeks old (That was her response to how old he is- I guess she can't do the math). He is supposedly 4 and 1/2 lbs. She says he is UTD and she BELIEVES () he was neutered before she got him. She was asking $250 but she told me she'd take $150. If I could afford the vet bills (and neutering, as I'm sure he hasn't been), I'd pick this poor little guy up ASAP. But I can't. If anyone is interested in possibly adopting him, PM me and I can forward you her address. I hope he doesn't get into the wrong hands through Craiglist. ETA: Mods, I posted this here because I figured more people would see it than in the rescue section.

| 9 times out of 10 it's a scammer Did you speak personally with this person, or was it by email? The Nigerian scammers have discovered Craigslist, and you can go to any state/city's site and find ads for "free" Yorkies. I hope someone gets this baby if it's not a scam!

| No, I think she's legit. She seems to have proper grammer and spelling (something the scammers definately lack!) and she hasn't mentioned shipping. I've asked her where she lives in the city and if I can visit and hopefully she'll respond.
