| I hate waiting my turn.... for the computer!....Sometimes when I'm on here someone will either want me to go look for something ( ya right , I'm beginning to think that's just a trick) or a call comes in & I have to vacate my comfy seat at the computer & I'll be darned if someone doesn't swipe my seat! ...so the waiting game begins..I leave the room pretending I don't want it back hoping they will hurry & get off..it doesn't work....Sometimes I get these thoughts in my head to just dump them out of the chair or slap them in the back of the head but I restrain myself ... I think it's time we get another computer before someone looses an eye....maybe it's just me?

Get a laptop for you Then you can take your computer with you everywhere so no one has the chance to snatch it up

| I solved that problem at christmas. I bought my 2 daughters a laptop each. So they never use this 1, and they are always in there bedroom using it. So i get peace and quiet as well. Problem solved. I feel sorry for hubby though, he never gets alook in. I think ill buy him 1 as well.

| I've never considered getting a laptop because I kept thinking it would always have a dead battery from being on all the time....maybe I just don't know that much about them & need to check it...every time I thought of getting one I would think of the cordless phone or the cell phone & how their always needing charged so I just figured that a lap top would be using more power so it would die faster & require a charge a lot more frequently & that would just take the fun out of it....I would love to sit outside w/ one... it's time to do some homework on lap tops

| Hubby and son each have their own laptop and I have my desktop. That way, we are not waiting on anyone and if any of the computers get screwed up, it's the owners fault...can't blame it on anyone else...LOL

| We have one computer and one lap top and the laptop is mine. Watch the sale ads around Christmas time and you can get laptops pretty cheap. We got one for My son last year and this year I am going to get one for My Husband

| Mine's always plugged in, except when I'm in class. I get about 2 hours continuous use with the battery that came with mine. I know you can buy 8+ hour batteries, though.

FYI to those running it on the mains all the time.... my BF burnt his laptop battery out doing that, they shouldn't be permantly connected to the mains as it drains the battery and makes it never fully charge and eventually stops charging all together... manufacturers recommend you if you run the laptop from the mains constantly then you should take the battery out. Batteries are not covered under warrenty so if you do this and have to replace the battery, like he did, if can cost you a fortune.
