| How did you know you were PG Background: I've been on the pill for 8 years; well about 2 weeks ago while taking my pill I got to laughing & might have spit it out, but we couldn't find it so I figure I did take it. But now I'm wondering if maybe I didn't get it taken & i'm PG now. My period just ended a week ago & i've been feeling off. Headaches, body aches & fatigue. Also I noticed last night that my boobs were bigger than normal & very firm. I tend to be paranoid & narrotic, so I was just wondering how soon you knew you might be pregnant & what were the early signs? My husband & I are still not sure we want children. If I am pregnant it won't be a big problem just unexpected. P.S. I know since I just had my Period I should be fine, but I've read that it's not a real period when you are on the pill so I'm concerned.

| If you may have missed a pill 2 weeks ago, but just got your period 1 week ago, it's HIGHLY unlikely that you're pregnant. Also, missing one pill is not usually a big deal (but don't feel like it's ok to miss one, it's not). I would go out & buy a test just for piece of mind. Maybe a double pack so you can take one now & another in a week or two. The mind can play tricks on your if you're worried & paranoid, so it's best to take a test instead of looking for changes in your body.

| I have also been on the pill for 8 years and if you have been on it for that LONG then you should be fine. As long as you took your pill the next day. Your body has had these pills in their for 8 years so missing one really is not that big of a deal, its when you mis 3-4 in a row and never go back and double up and take any of them, THEN you may have to worry. Your hormones maybe acting up because of your menestrul *sp* cycle just passing, the older we get the different things that start changing in our bodies. I NEVER use to get cramps when I got my period, but since last year I have started getting cramps before my period comes , I hate it. My doctor told me my body has changed and everything is okay, because I thought something was wrong with me having cramps before my period But, if you want to ease your mind make an appointment with your doctor to see what he/she thinks. I know I can call my pharmacy and sometimes they will have the answer.

| I agree with the others but no one answered your question did they. The first symptom any of friends and I had was unusual sleepyness. |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | great advice above i also wanted to add before i had my last baby i was on the pill for 5 yrs and it took us 4 months to get pregnant after i stopped them if you already had a period you are not likeley pregnant. you only ovulate 2 days of the month and when you are on the pill you do not ovulate at all so it is most unlikly. Also when you think you could be pregnant your body does play tricks on you for the 4 months we tried i thought i was prgnant every month with the symptoms and everything but i wasn't lol and as soon as the test was negative i would start my period. I do not have a period when i get pregnant at all and also i was extreamly tired to the point if i sat for 5 min i would fall asleep also i felt a little bloated and i felt like i was going to start my period. hope this helps

| with pills now a days you really dont have to worry about missing it one day if you are on top of it all the time otherwise. My dr said that most people actually have to be off of it for a number of months just to get all the hormones out of their system to get pregnant in the first place

| It's VERY unlikely that you're pregnant. The "signs" are probably just your mind playing tricks on you. Even if you are pregnant, you wouldn't be getting those symptoms this early. Hope this helps.
