| I liked the idea of having a papillon about 6-7 months ago then decided that wouldn't be the best idea. That's just my opinion. Papillons are really great dogs but I don't really know what their temperaments are like. |

| Why did you decide it would be best? For personal reasons or because of the type of dog? |

| Same here. A maltese and a yorkie. 1 of my neighbors has a Papillion but she (the dog) is not really friendly towards my babies, so we just say hi and bye.

| Papillons are very intelligent and very sweet, from what I've seen. I'm sure you would have no problems with a puppy. |

Jill Brooks (LittleBits Mom) here on YT raises Papillons. She could probably answer a lot of your questions.

| I know a super sweet, very intelligent Papillon. However, I think I've read yorkies are better for allergy prone people. Also, he sheds fluff balls. When I watch him I'll find tufts of hair on the carpet.

| My friend has a papillon. He's a very sweet, friendly dog. Smart too. I considered one but I like the yorkie's better.

| Maybe you should look at a Pomeranian? We had a Pom mix (it was like, 80% Pom and 20% something else) which was the cutest thing ever. They don't shed a whole ton unless it's a certain season, (maybe spring or summer), then they shed a lot. They're very sweet and intelligent and they're just the cutest things ever. I would get a Pomeranian if I wasn't allergic. Yorkies are my second favorite breed. |

| I love Papillons, I have always wanted one!! I have met several Papillons and they have always been so friendly and high spirited. And their hair really is easy to take care of and you got to love those ears!! I hope to get a Papillon sometime in the near future.

| Papillons Are Great Dogs!!! Papillons are great dogs! I am a very small breeder of Yorkies and Papillons. I fell in love with the Yorkie breed and my husband with the Papillon breed, so we breed both. We have 2 female Paps and 1 male. Ariel just had a litter about 3 1/2 months ago and Dolly is pregnant now and due in about 2 weeks. Papillons are wonderful tempermented and smart dogs. They do shed every day a little and about twice a year they shed quite a bit for about 2 weeks. Their coat is much easier to take care of than a Yorkie. I love both breeds more than I ever imagined. Their hair is as soft as a rabbits. My Yorkies and Papillons get along very well together and I can get you in touch with people that I have sold to if you are interested on thier opinion of the breed. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions please let me know. Jill

It is funny to hear everyone's opinions. I think how a dog acts is all in their upbringing. My aunt raises Pom's (well, my husbands aunt) and some of hers have been little stinkers, others have been love bugs. I have seen some that are very aggrassive and not good w/ children. It all just depends!
