My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I make white rice all the time. Love it! I take 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice, add salt to taste and a table sppon of butter (optional) bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover (watch closely, if too hot it will boli over!) I just watch it and test it for when it is done! I love it! |

| Well normally you are supposed to put 2cups of water for every 1 cup of rice you make. I make rice everyday so i dont measure it being hispanic we hardly ever measure . But that's usually how you do it and you are suposed to put salt in the water and a little bit of oil id say 2 teaspoons of rice depending on how much rice you are making? Then you wait till the water boils i wash my rice, then add when water boiling once the water dries after about 4-5min i stir the rice take it from the sides make a little mountain in the middle and put it super low and cover it wait 25-30 min take off lid add a little more oil and mix it then cover for another 10-15 min and walla rice is done and ready to eat

| I always make just as the directions on the bag say- boil 2 c salted water, add 1 c rice and cover and simmer for 20 min. Fluff with a fork and you're ready to go.
