Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Wisconsin Puppy Mills One or our local TV stations is doing an expose on Wisconsin Puppy Mills. Much to my surprise, there are no laws in Wisconsin to regulate them. This story is heartbreaking to say the least. Here is a link to the story and video. Part two will be tonight. http://www.todaystmj4.com/news/local/7191936.html

My furkids Donating Member | OMG!!! That is HORRIBLE!! How in the HE** can people (the legislature)think that's ok!! I just can't believe it!! My husbands Aunt (lives in Virginia) just bought a Brussels Griffon from a breeder in Wisconsin...I told his father she should really check to see where this puppy is coming from...I KNOW the poor little thing came from a puppy mill...When I asked her what the name of the place was that she bought him from she only told me that she spoke to a really nice woman...OF COURSE SHE'S GOING TO BE NICE TO SPEAK TOO!!! The puppy did come with 1 yr HG but, that doesn't mean a hill of beans! When the puppy was delivered to her (via air) she couldn't even take him home...he had to be hooked up to IV for 24 hrs...the poor little thing was so sick...hypoglycemic, worms and soooo tiny! He almost didn't make it. I know how heartbreaking it is when you want a specific breed and you can't find one...I think this is why so many people turn to Puppy mills....I feel they are saving a puppies life by getting them there but, then on the other hand they are just making room for more puppies. Sorry for ranting but, I am so ANGRY right now that I could scream!! Thanks for posting this...Hopefully alot of members from that area can ban together and do something about this.

THAT IS AWEFUL. that puppy should have been ck by a vet no more than two days prior to shipping. they should have seen the worms b/c that is on the ck list. this should not have happened. i bet he had a fake health cert when he shipped. did you get the copy when the puppy arrrived? you should have b/c they are not to be shipped with out one. look on it and call the vet that did the ck up on that poor little baby. i would be on them like flies on poo......

It wasn't me that bought the puppy....I would NEVER buy from a place that I couldn't see the puppy first...I also would HAVE to see the conditions they are born and raised in and see the Mother...the father would be nice too but, if you have to breed out it's difficult to see the father. I TOLD my husbands father she should have really checked this place out before she bought it...Hubby's father said her son did alot of research before buying the pup...I don't believe him..Long story but, Hubby's father just came back into his life after 43 yrs and, we have only seen him 5 times...like I said....long story but, he thinks he knows everything...It was hubby's fathers sister (now that I confused you!!) that bought the puppy...she lives in Virginia. I don't know her at all but, did talk to her when she got the pup.... she really didn't listen to what I said...she was quite excited about her new furbaby which, I could understand but, she really should have researched better. He is doing ok now but, very, very tiny. What really irritated me is that I tried to explain puppy mills to her but, she just wouldn't listen. Well, at least 1 pup will have a good home...just made room for more though.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That media attention is great news and so long in coming... thank you for posting this and if you can - will you keep us updated and maybe post a place we can write in support of better regulations for these poor dogs ?? I'd love to see then shut down but know that isn't realistic and it just won't happen because it IS about the green - but we can sure be loud and complain about the cruel INHUMANE treatment these dogs receive at the hands of humans.....it's just sickening ! Thanks - I'll be looking forward to the next segment |

| WOW. I live in Wisconsin, not by choice but because of my husband's job. I am so glad that I did my research and went with a reputable breeder. I grew angrier and angrier as I saw the video. I could just tear that woman to pieces. LOL. Don't mean to sound violent, but OMG, she knows too well that what they are doing is very harsh and she won't fess up to it. Good help those little guys.
