| ggrrrr!!! So mad! Stupid drivers! oky I am REALLY REALLY mad and need to vent ... so i apologize ahead of time .... so i'm driving and there's this slow car in my lane so i get in the next lane, there's this guy who's like speeding up behind me and i guess gets mad b/c i got in 'his' lane and so then the second he gets to pass me he does and then the a$$hole goes super slow on purpose! mind you we're only driving like 70-80km anyways... and keeps doing it ... so i get fed up try to get in the other lane, and he cuts me off ... then he drives bETWEEN the lanes so that I cant pass .... so i start honking and i flip him off ... so then he speeds off ... then pulls over on the road and walks in front of my car!!!! then he starts yelling at me IN CHINESE and i yell at him in english! he flips me off and keeps yelling at me from the side of the road..... gRRR!!!!!!! i am soooo mad! I couldn't BELIEVE THIS was happening, like seriously pple do NOT know how to drive in taiwan and i get yelled at! I drive like i do in america, so that makes me a VERY good driver for here .. I obey the laws unlike the pple here! (if anyone has driven in asia you know what i mean... most people here don't follow traffic rules at all! I mean I see pple reverse ON THE FREEWAY if they missed their exit .. and the police don't do anything!) and he has the nerve to be such an a$$hole!?!??! i wish i had pepper spray i would have sprayed his butt! phew ..... thanks for listening and letting me post .. i feel a lot better .... still in total shock and but not as mad as i was before.

| hey camly, just wanted to tell u that ur so courageous to be driving in taiwan hahah. i went there last december and am seriously amazed i didnt get into any accidents (especially since i was the passenger the whole time hehe). u always gotta be careful of drivers in asia. even walking down the sidewalk can be dangerous, let alone crossing the street. if you dont mind my asking, what are you there for? are you by any chance doing a teaching contract for english? -Peggy |

| Thank you peggy for knowing exactly how i feel!!! lol he was crazy! grr i am still all riled up from it. haha... i'm winding down though, had a nice cold glass of riesling... but still they are CRAZY PEOPLE and DRIVERS! actually I htink i have seen at least one moped and car accident everyday. its really amazing how pple do not realize they should follow traffic laws, they are there for a reason. but i can also understand this is pretty much integrated into their culture, and it will take a loooong LOOOONG time before they'd be able to regulate the millions and millions of drivers in taiwan. i don't mind you asking at all hun i am in taiwan working for LED company doing sales and marketing ... i did want to try the teaching english thing but so many pple were doing it (and honestly i wouldn't really be hired or paid as much b/c i am asian ... pple here prefer to be have english taught to them by a white person) why were you in taiwan may i ask?

| Becareful PLEASE be careful, we were stationed there and had to hire a driver I was so scared. Being from NYC I thought I could drive anywhere ( then I went to Boston) and they are the worst drivers in twan I have ever been around speeding so fast that it was a wonder that they did not take the side mirrors off the parked cars. Me no like. was glad to be sent home. 15 mos was 15 mos toooooo long

| i know how you feel and i havent even drove there i hate driving to our nearest town and its like 30 -45 minutes away and everyone wants to go fast and then you get one car who is in the fast lane and is going so so so slow and then you have the ones with road rage and the ones who think their car is faster than yours and then the ones who carry weapons and want to fight you becuase you passed them or the ones who put their brights on and stay behind you the whole time just becuase you passed them and you dont dare pull over and try to let them pass beucase then they pull over to and want to fight luckily my husbands truck doesnt get brights since its lifted so much and my tahoe catches everything though
