| Post pregnancy- Okay, so I was 161 the day of the c-section and two weeks later now I weigh 133 and at 5'7" that's not so bad, considering I was "skinny" prior to the pregnancy weighing in at 112/116. Fabulous, right? Well, I'm now curious for all you ladies out there that have gone through a pregnancy and had a c-section....HOW LONG BEFORE I GET MY BELLY BUTTON BACK? Seriously! It's flat and while I have a little belly still, I'm not concerned about that...more my belly button. *sigh* It was cute and now it's "missing". I spoke w/ a surgeon...I TOLD you I was having issues about it being gone...and he told me I might have a umbelical hernia. Anyone else have this happen to them? Supposedly I'm to give it up to six months to come back, if not, they'll evaluate me again and there's a surgery to give me back my belly button. I can't believe it. Just wanted to see what your experiences were. Last edited by yorkieK9trainer; 04-17-2007 at 05:40 PM. |

| RLC- Not that I'm aware of. By that I mean, I know that I have a pretty little pencil line of a mark really, really low. But maybe when they pulled back the skin and what not is it possible they did cut my belly button on the inside? I'm not sure how that all works. Is your hubby a surgeon or doctor? |

| I had 4 c-sections and with each one the amount of time was different as to when I got my belly button back. Mine was always back by my 6wk check though. Your little one is a cutie!

| congrats on the beautiful baby you know i never had a c section with any of mine but i still havent seen my bellly button be normal and its been 7 years since i had my first and then my twins and then my last one who passed but he was born in dec 05 and i still havent seen it normal but i have alot of stretched skin and i just think thats why but im sure as soon as most of your body parts and inside belly parts are back to normal then you should see but i know they say to take it easy and slowly after you have one and you of course had a c sec but i always seemed to have better results when i started early with light owrking out i thin thought because once you relax and you kick back after having a baby your body just kinda heals as it is and if you cathc it while its still healing i think you have better results and this is just not really my opinion but from things i have seen cause with my twins i was all over the place after i had them, the next day after having them i was up and around and moving into my house since i had not moved my clothes from my parents to my new house i had no clothes to wear when i got home so i had to move my stuff and i lost all my baby twin weight but then after my last one i wasnt feeling well and he was sick also so i didnt really work out and stretch and stuff and i got huge with him but just give it time and it should pop back out and if not then maybe they can look into whats going on? i know my twin boy his was out when ever he was born and then they stuck the security device on it also which oulled it even more and so i out a cumberbun on it and tried to tuck it in and then they found out he had a small hernia under it but they havent done anything about and i thought you had to but some days its in and some days his belly button is sticking out so i tape a dime over it and its fine. and some days its light purple but they said just dont let him starin and hes fine so we will see hummmm but dont worry your body does crazy things when you are preganant and even afterwards sometimes
