| Doggy Daycare Survey Hi Girls (and guys)! I'm just posting to help me along with a very huge marketing project that I'm doing for college.. I need to get primary information (from you guys) and secondary information (from business websites) for a part of the bibliography, but also with pricing, and anything else you have to offer to make this project a success... Anyways! My questions are... How much would you pay for Doggy Daycare (areas set up by size - large and small) that offered Grooming, Training, and "petstore supplies" as well (a day, a week.. just help me think of rates and what not)? Now, don't think along the lines of petco/petsmart quality grooming .. and a training that did group lessons (according to size/age) and individual behavior lessons as well... Pet store supplies would include your general run of the mill neccessities and stuff that we, as yorkie owners, often see ourselves buying as well as GREAT quality dog foods. Boarding will also be optional and they won't be "kennels" like you see in most boarding kennels. For big dogs they will have their own individual rooms with couches and the like.. Depending on temperament they may even come home with me instead of being at the Daycare. For instance.. With Shana for instance.. Penny lives with a chihuahua and a yorkie..and I have a bulldog and a yorkie.. So obviously if they could mingle with mine, they would be able to come home with me and have constant interaction (at no extra charge). This is a business I hope to have up and running after I graduate (3 years) and move into a bigger city.. Thanks everyone!

| Are you just asking for a price? Right now I pay $30 a day. Here is the daycare website and let me know if you need any other information www.petspasofamerica.com |

| Is that for 2 dogs? Ours has packages. You can pay for 1/2 day, full day, full week, or full month. The price is $15 per day with the week package ($70.00)and you can use the days as you want. Katy goes every Monday and Wednesday. If you groom there its $20.00 and you get free day care on the day of grooming. The play area has a couch and TV for the dogs. There is also a big dog area and a small dog area although they are very good at socializing the dogs to play with each other. Quote:

Yes, that's for 2 (can you imagine if it wasn't???). I'd have to work 5 jobs to send the monkeys to daycare haha. I take them b/c Simon has been going since he was a baby and it's so good for the socialization. And Hallie just needs to be nicer to other dogs and people and it's really helped her a lot. | |

| Thank you, girls! This is exactly the kind of information I was looking for!! I just have to kind of make a "rough" (but 7 page) idea of a business plan in a way.. I don't need the layout blueprints and stuff like that. Just how I'm going to promote and everything but I was so stuck on the price issue and how to offer it! I surveyed a bunch of doggy friends and they said in the $25-35 range. You girls were so helpful! Thank you again!

| I love doggy daycare for the socialization! Of course the benefit is Katy hasn't been sleeping all day while we are at work. On daycare days she is tired and ready to settle in and be a lap dog when we come home. Katy loves to go and has lots of fun! I just reccomended it for a friend up in WI. He started taking his lab. He loves it too! Quote:
