| Putting down ceramic now Wow, might have bit off a little more than I can chew on this update with the house. I'm doing this alone too. Ordered ceramic for the living room, kitchen and hall. I started Saturday,on the living room, took Easter off, and started back up yesterday. So far I have all the tile laid in the living room, and 1/2 way down the hall. When I get though with all the cuts, and laying the hall, I will grout the living room and hall. Saving the kitchen for last. As its going to be the biggest PIA, with the refrigerator, washer, dryer, table and china cabinet still in there. I took up the top layer of floor in there, and its a mess. Leaving that bottom layer down, cause its stuck really really good! Since I refinanced to do all this stuff, I haven't stopped except for a day here and there. And right now, with what I've already bought for the house, I see no end in sight, lol. Funny thing though, since I took the carpet up, Venus has been going on the pee pads 100%!! |

| WOW, that's so cool that you're doing it all by yourself The thing that excited me the MOST is when you said: "Funny thing though, since I took the carpet up, Venus has been going on the pee pads 100%!!" OMG Luna and Izzy have decided that THE place to pee is my bedroom carpet PEEYOOO!!!! So this weekend its coming up and the concrete below will be soaked and scrubbed with urine remover. Not sure what's going there yet, and I don't even CARE As long as they stop peeing on the floor and go on their pee pads Good luck with the rest of your project!

| It's a great feeling when you can do something by yourself & not need a man to do it for ya.lol.. It's such a feeling of accomplishment, isn't it, even if it isn't perfect... you go girl!!!....We put ceramic in the kitchen & the one thing I would do different is make sure the grout is on the dark side...it gets dark in the main traffic area anyway & it's less of a PIA to keep clean.. Good Luck!

| It's lots of work but when it's all finished you will so happy you did it. Nothing like ceramic tile anywhere! I have it in my dining room, foyer and down the hall into the bedrooms. Love it, love it. Easy to keep clean also. LOL because your pup is now hitting the pee pad! Figures Don't forget to post pictures. I am sure it will be beautiful when your finished. |

| mu hubby has done the tile and harwood floors in our house and lemmie tell ya it takes forever and its hard work also the cost everything you want or need to get costs at least twice as much and you need twice as much as you think when you get started! we still have 3 bathrooms to tile floors and wall for tub/showers. our house isn't finished but it's liveable we still need curtains/blinds and to put up interior doors we have but they have to be painted finish 3 bathrooms walls have to be painted they are primered and some lighting fans ceiling vent covers alot to do and no budget left to do it with. not to mention hes the kind that wants nobody else to do it or even help because it has to be just a certain way his way so that means it takes so much longer its a huge headache! but hey we have a big house!
