| Is anyone here into retro hair and makeup?! I'm slightly obsessed with the whole 40's retro look right now. Does anyone else do this, or know anything about it? I could use some product or site recommendations!

| The 40's and 50's look is all the rage here. Wish I had kept all my clothes from the 50's. The only thing I haven't seen yet are the brown and white saddle shoes and poodle skirts. |

| Here is a picture of me: (okay....that's a total lie! It's a model whose work I really like, because she looks just like my grandmother....and people say that's who I take after...although this model looks more like my grandmother than I do! )

| Anyway! I've always been a hair girl, but not so much a makeup girl. But I've become active in theatre in the last several years, and have gotten into makeup more, including the FABULOUSNESS of false eyelashes. My kitchen is done is 40's style, and I've always loved old movies, illustrations and print work from that era. Women were such WOMEN then!!! Gotta love how they were ALWAYS "put together".

| I LOVE the 40's era look, in my home.... but on me, probably not so much! I spent the last couple of weekends browsing at a huge antique show - I just love antiques and especially the 40's look!!! I think it could be GREAT on a person, especially on a younger person, I just don't know much about it. If you achieve it - please post pix! Good luck!

| I am totally into it also. It's coming back girl. I am 24 and my grandmother gets really excited. She's like OMG I used to wear my hair like that. I love to see her happy. I also wear bright groovy colors on my eyes.

I'm working on A poodle skirt for Holly. I found the cutest little poodle patches and I have some pink satin. I'm sure I'll have it done by this evening.

I'd love to see a pic of you Jiggi... I totally agree on the makeup - I've been going a little heavier on mine and my husband loves it....but he's used to it cause I've always gone all out on makeup - too bad my hair is hopeless cause I'd love to do different styles... | |

| HA....yeah, I'm not sure what's up with all the retro girls also being into the tattoos, but that does seem to be the case a lot of the time! Me....no to tattoos! But I just love the throw-back to femininity. I've pulled the look off pretty successfully a few times....GOT to get me a digital camera! OOOO, last night at the Goodwill I scored a little puff-sleeved plaid jacket that is just deliciously rockabilly! Can't wait to wear it!!!
