| Any ideas on where to donate hotel/sample size bath products?? I'll admit it.. I vacation a lot, and normally I'll take the extra things that housekeeping leaves, thinking that I'll eventually use them. And I actually do use the little bars of soap, but none of the other things. I've been sorting through the stuff, and I know that I'll never use the shampoos, conditioners, lotions, etc. Any idea where I can donate them? I'd prefer something local, so I wouldn't have to pay to ship. There are quite a few.. maybe 30-40 shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and a few other things. They are nice products, most from Hilton hotels.

| Yeah my dad is a Middle School Principal and my mom also works at the school, and they have tons of poor families in their community. Some without HOT water, and some without running water. It's sad! But we take things like that to the school, the kids are able to take showers in the morning and use them. Some just don't have money for hygiene products and so we take everything to the school. We buy small samples of deodorant perfume and things like that too. Everything and ANYTHING helps!!

| Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I contacted a local women's shelter, so hopefully they will get back to me, and take them. Surprisingly though, the first one I contacted them didn't take physical donations.

| If that doesn't pan out, phone the homeless shelter. They have to use the small containers for sanitary purposes and everything must be thrown away when the homeless leave the following day. That's the way it works at the shelter here anyway. Our Boy Scout troop helped out there one night - wow. Kudos to you for thinking of that!!

| Our local churches rotate twice a year providing a week's worth of shelter and services to the homeless. They are always asking for toiletry items they can give to them.

| donations Homeless shelters and ones for abused women appreciate all kinds of donations. One Saturday me and a friend volunteered to sell Krispy Kreme donates for our church...it was so stinking hot in front of Walmart, we were there for hours...couldn't leave until they were sold..we were down to 10 boxes and no way we could eat that many...so we bought them at $4 a box and took them to the Homeless Shelter..the kids were thrilled..and it only cost us $20 each...AND it was tax deductible...! |

| Great Job! We don't stay in hotels very often, but I scarf up all the sample size bottles, too. If the Battered Women's Shelter doesn't work out, you can check with a Drug Rehap Facility. |

| Thanks everyone! Afterwards, I felt so bad for taking them, so I'll feel better if they will take them. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
