| Got bite bad by the stray I took in Sigh back from the er. no stitches but cause of the puppy being a stray and face wounds bleed alot. husband panicked and had the neighebor take me in too the ER. I'm starting rabies protacalls for it now. sigh no good deed right. Puppy has had it's shots. well as of Friday afternoon. but they claim that they're not effective til 2 past having them. I reached over into the xpen to take him out and he snapped at me. sigh.... now what too do. ER says they have to tell animal control and let them decide what too do with him. |

| Sorry you got bit for doing a good deed. The pup is probably scared to death. I hope the authorities don't take him from you. Any animal will bite when they are scared. New people, new surroundings and who knows what he went through before coming to you! Sorry you have to go through rabie shots. I understand they can be painful. Hope your alright and things work out as you want them too. Keep us posted. |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | sorry you got bit. what kind of puppy was it? I was bit by a Dobberman that we adopted from are local animal shelter. This happened about 2 yrs ago, but he sliced my lower lip in half and I had to have about 22 stitches in my mouth. They took the dog away cause I didn't want him anymore. Hope you are feeling better. |

| You should not have to go thru Rabies shots. As long as you have the dog that bit you, all need to be done is have it tested, not you. What Dr. would want to give you the shots? |

| I've a compromised system already, bad enuff I just talked to the animal control officer in charge today and they want to take the puppy and do testing on it, to see if it has rabies or not. I've heard how they test for it. and I sure don't want to surrender the puppy to that. TyTy |

| There's only one way to test a dog for rabies and it's not good. It's also not fair to the dog especially if you are going to be treated anyway. Chances are, if it had rabies, it would have shown up by now. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I hope you are ok and I really hope they change their mind about taking the puppy. Prayers for you both.
