| Arkansas is beautiful...we used to go camping there when I was little. I don't know much about Gulf Shores though. Anywhere you go in the US will make a wonderful vacation especially if you drive and take your time on the scenic routes. I love to 'yard sale' my way to places...we never really make plans and reservations are a no-no...we just get in the truck and go. |

| Don't get your hopes up too much about Gulf Shores...it's not particularly fabulous. It's alright, I suppose. There was alot of hurricane damage when Ivan came through a few years ago and many businesses didn't open back up. It's kind of 'run down' and there isn't really a whole lot to do there. |

| We stayed at Fort Morgan about 4 years ago, pre-Ivan and Katrina! It was a huge family get together on hubby's side and we rented a 6 bedroom house to hold everyone. We didn't do much but lounge on the beach or at the pool while the guys played golf. Did venture in to Foley one of those days to go to the outlet mall. I agree with Bama, even when we were there pre-Katrina, there just wasn't a whole lot to do - but then again, we were almost at the point on Fort Morgan - nothing but condo's and houses where we were. As for Arkansas, been a long time since I've been there so can't tell you much about things to do there. Best of luck to you on your vacation choice!

| I know this wasn't one of your choices..but you may want to look at St George Island, FL. We rented a home with a pool last summer....it was awesome! Most relaxing vacation I've had in awhile!
