| Would you believe another wreck!! Well guys this year is not the year for me and vehicles. Sunday afternoon I stopped at a gas station to get something to drink after getting my hair cut. Came out and got in my Jimmy that I just made the first payment on. Some drugged up idiot left the highway came through a field, through their parking lot, jumped a ditch and hit me dead on going at least 60 mph according to the cops. So now I am afraid I have another totalled vehicle, off work for at least a week, can hardly move and right side is numb. Plus this idiot had no insurance and suspended license. I am very lucky that I am not dead. I really and truely thought I was going to die right then and there. Thank god my insurance is going to take care of it. He was driving a very small pickup and turned my heavy four wheel drive almost a complete circle. |

| Your right, you are lucky to be alive. Somehow I doubt if the driver, unless he was drugged up or DWI nothing will happen to him! I seen it before. They just let them go so let's hope he was under the influence of either drugs or acholol so he'll get what's coming to him I hope you'll feel better soon and nothing is broken. Carol & Buddy |

| Well guys I am feeling better. But then hubby went to hospital tuesday evening so I have not been thinking of myself. His kidney function is down, potassium was only 1.1 when we went to er and is now only 2.4. So I have been spending every waking moment at the hospital. I did find out that the guy who hit me was not drunk or on drugs. And they are going to charge him with attempted involunatary manslaughter. And he is in jail. Still waiting to hear if they are totalling my Jimmy or are going to fix it. Should hear something in a couple of days. Meanwhile we are trying to decide on what vehicle to replace it with. I am leaning toward an Impala or a Malibu. Want to make sure that I get something with good safety ratings. Hopefully my hubbys potassium level will come up soon. They said if he would have waiting another 12 hours to go to the hospital it would have been too late. Thanks for all of the nice comments I sure appreciate them. |

| Wow! You've really have a lot going on. How are you feeling physically now after the accident? What could make some idiot drive like that if he's not drunk or on drugs??? I'm so glad nothing worse happened to you. I might have missed an earlier thread, but how long has your hubby been having kidney problems? Is he going to need a transplant? I hope today you get some better news and that you can find something good in your day. Thinking of you |

| i hope you are feeling better and hope all goes well with your husband and your car also. the guy i hope does some time or at least gets a hefty fine. i see it all the time dumb people driving cars racing or just showing off and they kill or almost kill someone, turn their world upside down, and change things in their life and nothign happens to them. its sad, whether he was drunk or not he was driving like it and i hope they stick it to him.

| Oh Lora, I just now saw this thread - I'm so sorry - it's just not fair!!! I've had an Impala and a Malibu - loved both of them - the Impala is nicer and a little bigger but both were great cars! I hope your hubby is doing better now!
