Please pray for my daughter Kimika, I posted last week about her being undecided about naming our puppy. I haven't introduced our new puppy yet, it's been so hectic getting Kodak to adjust. Kimika bent down last night to pick up the puppy and couldn't. She says her chest hurt really bad & I told her if it continued I would take her to the Dr. on Thurs. (my off day). This morning she was having trouble breathing and putting on her clothes. So I had my mom drop me off to work and take Mika to the medical center. The medical center called to say she was being rushed to the hospital. At 17, they told me her left lung collasped.

I had never heard this happening to a child or teen unless it was a car accident etc., so I was in shock. I cried all the way to the hospital and stayed till we could get her to stop throwing up and go to sleep. Visiting hours in Intensive care were over so I had to come home to let Kodak out and check on the new puppy. All family member were at the hospital so no one was home. I am in and out tonight and I needed to get online to get my mind off of this. Prayers work strength in numbers and I need all the prayers to help my daughter get better. They said she is one of 30% of people this happens to for no reason.

Sending well wished to your daughter. I've heard of this happening to people especially in teens that are growing really fast. I hope she makes a speedy recovery.

I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Kimika. This has got to be so scary for you both. I know what it feels like not to be able to breathe so I can only imagine how frightening this is for her. Keep us posted on Kimika's progress.

I am sorry this is happening to you, your daughter and your family. You must be a wreck. Trust the doctors to do everything they can to get your daughter back home to you. For what it's worth, Krysten (RoxyJosMom - my 18 y.o. dtr was 2 mos. premature. Her lungs didn't work. She had 3 of her 4 lobes blow out from the oxygen being pumped into them. 3 chest tubes along with all the other tubes and things she was hooked up to was terrifying - but she made it. She has 3 scars which I haven't seen since she got modest but one was shaped exactly like a dragonfly which is part of the reason I collect them now. Anyway, Kimika has a lot going for her and with all the prayers coming form YT, and the care from the Dr.s she should be ok. We will be keep her in our thoughts and prayers and send you hugs to help you get thru the next few days. God bless.

Thank you all for your prayers, it's greatly appreciated. I am going to hang around here just to keep my mind off it. I'm going to the hospital first thing in the morning.
