| My Boyfriends Mother Needs To Be Arrested My boyfriends mother doesnt take care of her dog Im not even sure why she has a dog. Its a shih Tzu and she hasent done anything with her. The dog was barking and she called my boyfriend and said he needs to do something with the dog because she cant sleep. I wonder why... The dog was barking for food & water And she refused to feed it His mother also refused to get the dog groomed or even do the simple things like brushing it, bathing it etc.. When my boyfriend took the dog to the groomer. The groomer said that the dogs nails had grown over three times into her paw pads. And her paws are damaged/crippled or something like that. The dog is between 6-8 yrs old never walked on a leash, has never been outside to play and isnt house trained. I feel like I need to take the dog in addition to my puppy. And the dog that my bf already has Would it be possible to house train a 6-8 yr old dog? Or should I just try to find her a nice home? Either way Im not keeping her with my boyfriends mother.

| You can potty train most dogs at any age. It may just be more difficult now than when it was a puppy. Old dogs really can learn new tricks. Either way, you definitely need to take that dog away from that woman! Poor dog

| Ah.... I hope you can take her out of that environment. That's so sad. The poor dog at her age deserves so much better. You sound like a good, caring dog person. Good Luck to you and that sweet dog. Rudys Mom (Dawn) |

| Well just work on one thing at a time, get her groomed and up to date on her health care...that will make a huge difference..then try housebreaking her...if yours is housebroke she might follow suit. She will probably love just having some love and attention for once..and a regular feeding geez...dont worry about the future just yet..take your time and see if its do-able, if not im sure you can find her a loving home!! Good luck!! Keep us updated. Dawn |

| Animals seem to know when u rescue them and they seem to respond positively. I think once the dog is taken out of the present home and placed in a welcoming, warm, loving home it will progress rapidly.
