| Is this a scam?? I have a dining room set for sale on craigs list, this morning a guy inquiered about. I offered to send him pictures, since he wnated to know details. here is his response, I smell a big rat,what do you think? Quote:

| mmmmm, yeah......I smell that rat all the way out here in California! My DH sold a car on craigslist a couple of years ago and got some of those same types of replies......steer clear girl. That was very perceptive of you to pick up on!!

| What does he want from me though? Obviously the money order will be fake, is he gonna over pay and wants me to give him back the rest in chash? Wierd. Dang and I thought I finally get this thing out of my garage lol.

No Longer a Member | I don't get some of the people that reply to ads on craigslist. I listed a stand for a big screen tv, and periodically, I'd get replies "do you still have it" yes I'd say, they'd say "when can I come pick it up?" I'd give a day and hear nothing. I got three like that. Wierd. I always felt funny about giving my address and phone number to replies from craigslist. Except that I did have luck selling a stove that needed to go asap before a new one came... Hopefully, you'll get a sincere response soon. |

| Don't send him any information except your address. Tell him that when his guy comes to get the set that he needs to bring cash. I think this person is from another counry and just comes off sounding different. He did however ask the right questions. |
