Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | We have a Costco and a Sam's, and while similar, I like Costco more. Bigger, cheaper, better stuff. Plus they have a great wine selection. Oh, and as for employment, I've heard they pay well and offer great benefits.

| I don't shop @ Wal-Mart or Sam's because of their business practices, but I love Costco. They have a great variety of high quality stuff. I just went there last weekend and I got a bunch of stuff that I didn't even realize I needed :P |

| Yes, you have to be a member at costco. I'm a member of both sams and costco and I prefer costco. I think they have a better selection of things and better quality than sams. The only reason I even belong to sams is because it's 10 minutes from where I live. The nearest costco is about 30-40 minutes. BUT another costco is being built closer and will be open in the spring.

| I love Costco too...and I agree, if you see something you want buy it then....very fast turnover at Costco. It cost 50.00 for a regular membership and for 100.00 you can get the rebate kind, you get a percentage of what you spent that year back in the form of a rebate check kinda thing. I have this last kind and usually get enough back to pay for the membership fee.

| I LOVE Costco, I love it so much, I end up spending a small fortune there. My hubby is equally as bad. The one thing we do when buying meat is divide it up for however much we need per meal, and freeze the rest. It works out really well. So, if you join you might want freezer bags to be your first purchase. I normally do not buy produce, as the portions are too big for the two of us. They have great stuff, and I buy it immediately if it's something we need/want, as it will more then likely be gone on the next trip.

| I go to Costco all the time. It's where I buy my kids their kibble (the store brand is made by the same company that makes Chicken Soup for the Puppy lover's soul), and we buy all sorts of stuff we don't know we need. And my husband (who loves to eat) loves their demos. And we buy enough to pay for our membership too on the $100 membership. I like the clothes there too. As do my teenagers (and you know how fussy they are by virtue of being teenagers).
