| Mucinex used to be by prescription only, so I would say it's probably good. Feel better!!!

| I love Mucinex as a cough medicine because it lasts so much longer than any of the others! As far as I know, only it and Delsym are formulated to last up to 12 hours.

| This is really an older medicine guifenisen. This is what they always gave us in the military. Then it came out as Mucinex -- it is worth it! Just an interesting aside -- guifenisen is also one of the controversial treatments for fibromyalgia. Another thing you can get to thin the mucous and break up those phlem blocks -- NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) --a natural expectorant, and Olive Leaf extract (a natural anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant+). I had a congestion problem that just seemed to hang on and on -- and this is the only thing that broke it up. I had tried all sorts of medicines, both rx and OTC but it was the health food store's recommendation that did the trick. Something to consider if traditional meds don't work for you.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Pattie...can't help you on the stuff but just want to say their Dancing Booger commercials just gross me out - especially the ones where the little green things are doing the rhumba or bunny hop (whatever that dance is) and wearing little wife beater shirts I mean really - dancing snot ??? I hope you feel better - a friends dad was given that stuff in the hospital when he had pnemonia - so it must be good. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My mom is taking the children's strength as she is down to 81 lbs and it has helped her but she said it upset her stomach. She is 87 years old with a chronic lung problem and her pulmonoligist told her to try this. Patti I hope you are feeling better soon.
