| I don't know how people deal with winter.....I am from a tropical country where its summer all year round. Now, I am in Toronto with a below zero freezing temperature...My body hasn't been reacting well to it and when the winter started, my whole body was aching, the bones feels like they are going to detached. Now, I sneeze every single morning. I do wear layers to go out, try to wear socks at home..the problem is I hate socks..the last time I wore them was way back in high school...And I am itching to go out to the Dollar Store but looking outside and the temperature that feels like -11C (I don't have a car), I don't feel like it anymore How do people deal with it? Do you ever get used to it?

| I am with you on that! I hate being cold! Which explains why I'll take my chances with hurricanes and remain in Florida

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I'm Canadian born and remember lots and lots of SNOW - grew up on the east coast and lots and lots of SNOW....and here in Texas today it's freezing & raining of all things - and I'm NOT leaving the house. I can't stand it now... if it snowed - I'd be out the door & loving it !!! I would love to see it again because I know it would only last a day or 2 |

| OH sweetie this has been a very mild winter around here. I was raised in this stuff and some days I can't even get warm but ,there is beauty in winter if you could try to look at that maybe it will keep you a little warmer.. or just buy you some snow pants.. I did and they work great Hang in there it is almost over..

| If it makes you feel any better, we're in negative temps now too. I guess I'm more used to it because I grew up in cold winter states (South Dakota and Wyoming), but it still isn't much fun. I hate feeling cold, and I hate being trapped in the house when it's this cold because I can't take my 2 1/2 yr old daughter out in this for very long. I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to spring! |

| Hey we aren't doing so bad at all! Can hardly complain that's for sure. Today is our first real taste of winter this year - I'm not a fan of the ice and snow - especially walking in it (and I walk to work everyday) - but we sure haven't had it bad. If it makes you feel any better, they've been saying that 2007 could be one of the hottest years on record for us! I HATE being HOT!!!!

| I didn't even know today is the real first taste of winter..It already felt so cold. I would love to go out but I think for now, I'm feeling warm and cozy at home. Every time I go out, I'd just come home and start sneezing non-stop so I'd stay home for now.Had the first taste of snow after 27 years

| I'm so jealous! I wish I was at home cozied up with my babies (who are probably sound asleep right now) instead of sitting at an office freezing my buns off! (It feels like they've got the A/C on for pete's sake!)

Aside from the weather, and not having a lot of friends I think everything is okay. I have a few friends now but they are just different from the friends I grew up with back home and learn to trust over the years. Most of my friends back home, we knew each other more than 10 years so we all trust each other..its pretty much a different story here with my new friends. I am not even sure what they do and I do not want to go wrong trusting the wrong people.I do go to church now, I trust in the Lord but I am not the type that will attend 3 times a week. Not having a job/study also makes it harder to know people but I hope things will change soon and I will be hearing something from the authority soon *praying hard*. Weather do play a role in our life...where I came from, we go out all the time, eat in food stores under the moonlight, plenty of sunshine, the beach is always welcoming...here, you gotta wrap yourself up like a snowman before you go out and still sneeze after you come home. And, I have been eating like 5 times a day (I always do eat that many times lol) but my weight has been going downhill. I lost a few pounds...and I was already underweight to begin with aiks!

| I dont deal with it very well. I pretty much hibernate in the winter. I have a deep freezer and I stock up with food so I dont go out unless I really have to. We usually have very cold winters but this one has been warm. I have only had to go out in My winter coat a couple of times. I could take winters like this every year

wow..winter could get much worse than this? lol...I hope it doesn't get worse than this. Its a good idea to stock up food..Don't have to deal with the cold during grocery shopping. The store I go to buy groceries, the price is really good but there is no heater in the shop and wind just blows in to it all the time. The last time I went there, I came home sneezing bad! And is it always this dry during winter? My lips cracked and bleed eventhough I had lipbalm on! Now..that is a bit scary..and my fingers too..I had very dry skin to begin with but even with moisturizer on, it doesn't seem to help prevent cracking and bleeding.
